Ashley and Peter

Frail and thin at 2.4 kilos short of her ideal weight, Ashley suffered from pneumonia. She
was malnourished and this weakened her immune system.

Not having a regular job to support the family, her parents struggled to meet Ashley's health needs. She is the youngest among 3 siblings. This is why her mother Ellen is grateful that Ashley was chosen as one of the 60 beneficiaries of the Operation Blessing Feeding Program in their community.

Overjoyed, Ellen said, "Ashley celebrated her 2nd birthday on March 8th as a healthy child!"

The feeding program provided Ashley with nutritious food, medicines and vitamins. To help sustain the family's needs, her parents were assisted by OB to start a rice retail business in the neighborhood.

Ellen was also nourished spiritually through the weekly Bible studies that have strengthened her faith in God.

Cavite has 91 less unemployed and unskilled individuals because of the free skills training on dressmaking, cosmetology, practical electricity and ref/aircon or carpentry. Children in Payatas, Quezon City are now looking forward to a healthier and better future with the Bless-a-Child and Back-to-School programs of OB.

OB has brought aid to hundreds of thousands of impoverished and calamity-stricken people through medical missions, emergency aid, water and sanitation projects, community transformation and livelihood programs, children’s outreach and educational activities to serve as many people as possible.
