Water-borne diseases are often the result of lack of source of clean drinking water and absence of sanitation facilities, like toilets, in far-flung areas.
In many communities that OB visits, the lack of safe, clean water is a common predicament and is a major cause of health and sanitation problems for residents. OB meets this need by drilling wells within the community that provide fresh, potable water.
Operation Blessing sponsors the construction of communal toilets in impoverished villages and schools to address the residents’ sanitation needs.
Whenever Operation Blessing goes to disaster-stricken areas, the mobile water purifier units are being brought to the area so that affected residents would be supplied with clean drinking water.
